Sun bathing

Dit figuratieve schilderij legt de vrouwelijke figuur vast terwijl ze op een geel-wit gestreepte handdoek zit, badend in zonlicht. Het werk viert het lichaam in al haar vormen, zonder oordeel, en nodigt uit om de schoonheid en kracht van ieder lichaam te ervaren.

Through the interplay of areas of colour, light and dark, and the strong relief, the figure takes on a tangible presence and the painting comes fully to life.

The painting is created using acrylic paint and modelling paste on an 80x100cm canvas and framed in a plain wooden box frame.
